India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. now brings another international trend to the Indian market with the launch of all exclusive Racing kit parts by DAYTONA for its customers.

Racing kit parts are developed using valuable experience gained from Moto GP & World Superbike  racing and in order to meet Yamaha’s rigorous quality standards, the kit parts are developed by Yamaha Engineering Corporation and Daytona in Japan.

The aim was to destroy Bajaj Auto’s claim that their newly launched 2009 Pulsar 220 edition was the fastest production bike in the Indian market. Bajaj is claiming that their new Pulsar model can touch a top speed of 144kmph. That record has now been broken by the Yamaha’s modified bike. Yamaha India representative had this to say at the launch event: “Bajaj’s claim lasted for only four days”.

These parts are exclusively for racing purpose in a closed circuit only  and will be available from September onwards for the customers.

The Daytona Kit consists of parts as:-

Aluminium Rear Sprocket-

  • Made of Duralumin special alloy .
  • Two options 40T and 42T depending on the circuit.
  • Harmonized with the ECU and exhaust system.

Back Step Bracket-

  • Made of aluminum with almight surface treatment.
  • Change in step position by 10-25mm up and 30-40mm back for race riding.

Electronic Control Module-ECU-

  • ECU for race circuit use only
  • Engine rpm cut off  increased   from 9800 to over 12000 rpm
  • Developed by YEC.
  • It is harmonized with the FI for   total rpm range performance

Racing Full Exhaust System-

  • Made of Stainless Steel
  • Has high exhaust efficiency
  • Weight reduced from 5.3 kg to   1.9 kg.
  • Synchronized with race ECU/    High lift cam’s/ and sprocket.

  • High lift cam in synchronization with ECU boost performance thought the rpm range.
  • Injects more air/fuel at high rpm range.

Racing Throttle-

  • Throttle operating angle changed from  90 degree to 60 degree.
  • Special racing wire along with the grips adds to the total race feeling.

Wave Disc Brakes-

  • Disc roter made of stainless steal
  • Disc size increased from 267mm to 298mm.
  • Wave disc shape is given to reduce the jyro effect.
  • Brake hose made of stainless steal which provides direct feeling   and a 50% improvement in expansion rate.
  • Master cylinder is racing type and in combination with adjustable   brake lever and hose improved braking performance
