Yamaha Fazer Special Edition

The Engine

The refined 153cc , air cooled, 4 stroke, SOHC engine provides more or less the same power output. The Fazer engine  generates a maximum power of 14 Bhp at 7500 rpm with maximum torque of 14 Nm at 6000 rpm. The broad tyres, low center of gravity and high torque at low rpm makes it a very stable bike to ride. Fazer’s handling stability is also due to the “140/60-17” size rear radial tyre with a 60% aspect ratio that also contributes for better grip. The model’s MidShip Muffler gives it a good concentration of mass, exhaust efficiency and handling. Fazer Limited Edition has the  contributes to better grip and handling stability.

The Designing

Fazer limited edition has been given a all new paint scheme of  White and Blue colors,  that is similar to  its MotoGP monsters.

A color co-ordinated aerodynamic cowl in the front of  Fazer keeps the wind blast at bay while the riding position has been tweaked for long hour, long distance travel and comes with special anti-skid seat skin. The twin headlamps have been descended from the Global Yamaha Fazer known for their sports touring.

The meters on the Fazer Limited Edition are same like other FZ series bikes – A Full Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). The speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge and other indicators are set in optimum position to keep the field of vision clear. Also, the engine starting signal is an example of the spirit of innovation.

Fazer carries the Monocross suspension to ensure agile running performance and handling, just like in FZ-16 and FZ-S. Other than the front fairing and wider tyre Fazer Limited Edition looks exactly the same like the FZ16 & FZ-S.

Each and every part of Fazer Limited Edition has been designed with a lot of detailed attention and careful thought. Everything about this bike is big, the wide tyres, the huge tank, the beefy forks. Viewed side on it looks like a well built athelete on the start line flexing its muscles, waiting to smash all the records.This ultimate degree of perfection means even the slightest feature has not been overlooked. Only Yamaha ensures this kind of craftsmanship.

Yamaha says “Japan Trip”=Little creativity+something different+bike

Yamaha yet launches another platform for people to show their creativity- The Photo Contest. This contest is all about the “Partners in Adventures” i.e.  Guys and their bikes. The mantra :-Be a little creative, a little innovative, make it look different and if your photo claims to be best you might end up winning the 6 Nights and 7 nights Japan Trip.

The Photo Contest provides you with three themes :-  “Best Background with Yamaha” , “Me & My Yamaha”  and  “Yamaha at World heritage“. The maximum that you can upload for one registered ID is 3 photos ( one in each theme) and the minimun being 1 photo in any theme. However the good thing is that you can register multiple ID’s and can upload 3 enteries against  each ID.

The competition is till 31st August. There are  weekly winners , fortnightly winners and the final winner of the photo contest. The prizes include :-

Grand Prize :- 6 Nights and 7 Days  Japan Trip for two.

Fortnightly Prize :- Sony Cameras , Sony Phones and Ipods

Weekly Prize :-Yamaha Apparels
